Self Employed Income Support Scheme (SEISS) - Respond to HMRC trading cessation emails by 20 November
We understand that HMRC have sent emails to some taxpayers who have claimed SEISS grants, asking them to confirm if they have stopped trading. Taxpayers who have received the email are asked to complete an online form to respond to these emails.
The form must be completed either to confirm that the taxpayer has ceased trading and needs to repay the grant or to confirm that HMRC’s information is incorrect and the taxpayer did not cease trading or has restarted.
If you have received this email from HMRC you need to complete the form by Friday 20 November, using the dedicated HMRC form, and if you do not do so you will not be able to make a further claim under the scheme.
